Introducing the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Academy

The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Academy is a brand new program hosted by Showplace Performance Centre. It is designed for beginner and early-intermediate string players ages 8 to 14 years.
No experience? No problem! Our talented and experienced staff will be teaching the basics of violin, viola and cello playing while keeping the days filled with fun and engaging music-related activities. Students will have the opportunity to learn in an informal small-group setting, to hear inspiring performances from other local students and professional musicians, and to work toward their own Friday afternoon performance for family members.
