The Metronome Giving Plan
A regular, predictable source of funds from supporters like you will ensure that the PSO continues to make beautiful music for years to come!
Your monthly gift will make it possible for us to put more of your money into what matters most — the music — all while decreasing fundraising expenses.

About the Century Club ($1,000 to $4999)
This new category was developed in 2003 upon the discovery of a photo of an early incarnation of the symphony in 1924. This fascinating piece was originally a production of the famous Roy Studio. It ran in the Peterborough Examiner and the photo and turned up again when the family of one of a previous PSO musicians, Cecil A. Gallagher, left a bequest to the symphony. With a vision for a future of our symphony in a century’s time, the Century Club was created.
Using this intriguing photo (originally shot in the Bradburn Opera House where Peterborough Square is now) courtesy of the Peterborough Centennial Museum and the original owners, the Irwin family, this level of giving has a special emphasis on longevity and an enduring musical legacy.
Donating a gift of securities to the PSO provides significant tax advantages:
A tax receipt for the fair market value of the donation in the amount of the closing trading price on the day the PSO receives the security.
Your donation is exempt from the capital gains tax that typically applies to the sale of a security.
We have a brokerage account and can work directly with your broker to take advantage of the tax benefits of donating securities. Call Deanna Guttman, PSO Executive Director at 705-742-1992 for more information.
