The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra invites all Members to attend an annual and special meeting of Members of the PSO to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9 at Trinity Hall, Trinity United Church, 360 Reid St., Peterborough. You are a Member of the PSO if you are a subscriber to its 2019-2020 season or if you perform as a member of the orchestra. We’d love to see you at the meeting! At the meeting you will receive reports on last season’s activities and on the PSO’s financial results for 2018-2019. You will be asked to elect a slate of directors and to reappoint Grant Thornton as reviewers of the PSO’s financial statements. You will also be asked to approve new by-laws for the PSO.
The proposed slate of directors for 2018-2019 (10 directors) is: Jocelyn Aubrey (retired university prof. and administrator); Sarah Deeth (journalist and videographer); Donna Shaw (marketing and communications strategist); Milan Ichniovsky (retired business owner); Katie Johnson (economist); Tim Kerr (retired family doctor); Blair Mackenzie (retired lawyer); Chris Russell (CEO, Bryston Ltd.); Otis Smith (wealth advisor); Nancy Westaway (retired teacher, multimedia artist and photographer).
Our proposed new by-laws resolve a number of issues that have built up since the current by-laws were put in place. In addition, the proposed new by-laws reflect the fact that Ontario has adopted new legislation governing non-profit corporations.

Completed proxies must be received by the PSO by not later than Monday, October 7.
