Please consider giving the gift of music this holiday season!

What an impactful year your Peterborough Symphony Orchestra had! We couldn’t have done it without the support of donors, sponsors, audience members and volunteers! On behalf of the organization, thank you to everyone who has supported us.

In 2017/18, the PSO reached more music lovers than ever before. But since ticket sales cover only a fraction of costs, a donation from you truly makes it possible to rent or buy sheet music, reserve space at local venues for the core of volunteer musicians to rehearse and perform, and foster programs such as the PSO-KYO Apprenticeship.

“Peterborough has such a great community orchestra. The November concert was fantastic!”
-Janet McLeod, owner of East City Flower Shop and a PSO advertiser, subscriber and volunteer

The 2018/19 season got off to a wonderful start on November 3. Don’t miss our December 8 holiday concert, always a family favourite, featuring the Kawartha Youth Orchestra and our annual carol sing!

There is so much great music to follow. In February, we’ll bring you the first appearance in Peterborough of the dazzling young Quebec cellist, Stéphane Tétreault. In March, it’s Oh, to be in England! featuring music by Britten and Vaughan Williams with concertmaster Phoebe Tsang and Peterborough soprano Melody Thomas. The season closes with Berlioz’s passionate and imaginative Symphonie fantastique.

A donation from you makes it possible to continue these high calibre performances. This holiday season, please help to keep the music playing in the community through your support. We are a registered charity and gifts to the PSO are tax deductible.

Donating to your PSO is easy. You can go online, either through the “Donate” button at the top of this webpage or directly to Canada Helps and receive a tax receipt from Canada Helps. You can also mail a cheque to the PSO at PO Box 1135 Peterborough ON  K9J 7H4, or call the office at 705-742-1992 with a credit authorization.

On behalf of the PSO, thank you again, and we wish you all the best in the New Year.

Sincerely,
Blair Mackenzie
PSO Chair

P.S. If you’d like to learn more about what we are able to accomplish because of your help, please call us at 705-742-1992 and check out the PSO 2017/18 Year in Review for all the highlights from last season!
