Ways to Give
Annual Cash Donations
Each gift is received and recognized with a category of honour within the season it is received (July through June). If the donation occurs late in the season and is not able to be recognized, recognition will be moved into the upcoming season. All donations of $25 or more receive a charitable tax receipt for the maximum amount allowable under Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
Donate Via CanadaHelps: CanadaHelps/PSO
Become a Peterborough Symphony Friend: PSO Friends is a program that provides passionate supporters with more ways to enjoy and contribute to the future of our orchestra. Discover the benefits of friendship here.
Donating a gift of securities to the PSO provides significant tax advantages:
A tax receipt for the fair market value of the donation in the amount of the closing trading price on the day the PSO receives the security.
Your donation is exempt from the capital gains tax that typically applies to the sale of a security.
We have a brokerage account and can work directly with your broker to take advantage of the tax benefits of donating securities. Please call Blair Mackenzie, PSO Board Chair, at 705-742-1992 for more information.
